Translators/copywriters
All our translators are qualified professionals with
degrees and/or post-graduate diplomas in translation
and years of experience in their areas of specialisation,
supported by an in-depth knowledge of the characteristics
of advertising translations. It goes without saying
all of them translate into their mother tongue. Moreover,
all translators are full members of internationally
recognised professional associations such as the IoL
(Institute of Linguists, UK), ATA (American Translators
Association) or their local equivalents.
Selection process
Pre-selection
Pre-selection is based on 4 main factors:
- Qualifications
- Translation experience
- Main area(s) of specialisation
- Marketing experience
Selection tests
Every pre-selected translator must then pass a translation
test in his/her designated area(s) of specialisation.
Translators will only be assigned projects in areas
in which they have successfully passed a test. The same
selection process applies to proofreaders.
Translation memory
The translation memory is a database in which all previous
translations are stored. This tool can be activated
every time a new translation is performed so that the
same phrase or sentence is never translated more than
once. The result: the terminology and style of your
local copy remain consistent and costs can be considerably
lowered in the long run.
All translators in the zeitgeist network are equipped
with the most popular translation memory software such
as Trados, Wordfast, Déjà vu, etc.
